Up Close & Personal

1.When did you fall in love with boxing?

I fell IN LOVE with boxing in the mid-90s when Felix “Tito”Trinidad really hit the scene. His pride, heart, passion, and charisma was undeniable and captivating.

2.What about Boxing drew you to it?

My Dad would have people over at the house. I was allowed to stay up late…I was probably 8 or 9 years old. I believe it was Mike Tyson who was fighting. I didn’t even know what was going on, but everyone was so excited and cheering and partying. I was fascinated and hooked.

3.Who was the fighter that first grabbed your attention?

Mike Tyson totally grabbed my attention. He was a character. He was intimidating. He was controversial. You never knew what was going to come out his mouth or what he would do in the ring. He was knocking people out cold in the most dramatic ways. He was fast, powerful, and had good defense.

4.What 3 things do you love the most about boxing?

1. Its history

2. The glory of a boxer’s victory. I have so much respect for the discipline, the will power, the strategic aspect, and all the sacrifices boxers make to prepare for a fight.

3. The adrenaline rush and thrill I get watching fights. You just never know the outcome. In a split second, there can be great unforeseen knockout! There is nothing like it.

5.Favorite Boxer?

Felix “Tito” Trinidad

6.Favorite Boxing Movie?

Million Dollar Baby

Raging Bull

7.What do you wish to accomplish with what you are doing?

I want to continue producing quality boxing shows and helping fighters market, brand, and maintain their image. I also want to give other “Raging Babes” a platform through my website to showcase and promote their talents whether it is writing, boxing, management, PR work, etc.

8.Who inspires you?

Jackie Kallen, the First Lady of Boxing. She has seen it all and done it all and has a wealth of knowledge. She is my mentor and offers a tremendous amount of support. I can only hope to accomplish half of what she has accomplished in the sport of boxing.

Ruselll Peltz, hall of fame promoter out of Philly. He's a walking boxing encyclopedia. His passion for boxing overall is fuel to my soul.

Other Raging Babes who are movers and shakers in the industry.
